Amplifihd Router Power Supply
-
I just found this forum and have been reading the pages of posts. Where do I find a power supply for my Amplifi router ? Mine died last night and I was hoping it would be a quick jump on line and buy a new one but I can't find one anywhere. Need a US plug.

I was in the same situation. The first 'power brick' I tried was rejected by the router. After some research I found that the trick is to get a charger/adapter that can supply "QC 2.0" power. (look it up). Find a QC 2.0 power adapter from a good manufacturer such as Anker. Don't trust cheapy Chinese. Go on Amazon. I used the original cable that came with the router, just changing the 'power brick'. 3 months in and no problems at all.

@George-Potter It has been a hit and miss scenario with using 3rd party adapters, because your LAN usage may differ, causing the AmpliFi to have an adapter error.
The only one I can recommend would be the OEM version, found here: https://store.amplifi.com/products/amplifi-router-power-supplyIf you are still under warranty, we can however offer a replacement within the 1 year. Please reach out to me in DM if that be the case and I can help get that process started for you.

@UI-Brett Sadly, that power supply shows out of stock to me. I doubt that'll help George.
-
@Shane-Milton Than is correct. Shows out of stock. I'm outside of a year on my router so basically I have an unusable router. I'm going to try the recommendation above from Andrewlydon and see if that works.
-
@andrewlydon Thanks Andre. I'll give that a try. My original cable is built into the brick so I'll have to find a quality usb-C cable and hope that works.
-
@UI-Brett Brett, are the power supplies out of stock due to C19 virus ? I notice that you guys are in New York so that would make sense. Do you anticipate that these power supplies will be back in stock once C19 restrictions are ended ?

I just found a aftermarket power supply that works with the AmpliFi HD. My power supply died last week, I’ve been looking everywhere and tried three or four type c cables and none of them worked. I found this one on google the company was sold out but I went by the specs showed on the description and order the same specs on amazon. I just received it and it works perfectly. @kingrob, thanks so much for your post. I have 2 Amplifi routers that I manage and 1 of them had a dead power adapter. I purchased the PWR+ power adapter (model PWR-TAHQC3.0N) from your post and it has been powering my Amplifi HD just fine for the last 23 days. Before this, I tried a Samsung fast charger that worked for 2 days, then was rejected by the router. The Samsung has 5V and 9V output, but the PWR+ has 5V, 9V, AND 12V, which is what the original Amplifi power adapter has printed on it. Thanks again.

@fmower that’s awesome. I’m glad it helped you! That’s why I posted it because it was frustrating looking for one that works.
-

-
@danielgza I tested the router with this adapter and a random type c cable from my phone, works perfectly! https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07ZT793RX/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=AXZ3JQ1GVFPIF&psc=1

@Yana-Shaterova thanks! Will try it. So sad that there is no chance to buy the original...
Last time for me to buy one of there products.
-
@danielgza We will have them available at some time, I do not have an ETA now
-
@danielgza hello. I also used the power adapter from the below link with the usb c cable from my phone: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B01FSEBC8G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_W.-dFb3HWVZ2P
It worked without issues.

@prichindelul is it the QC2.0 or QC3. version that you have tried and is working?
