@ubnt-brett How long does the firmware update take? I'm at 25 minutes and counting...
-
@fred-kinder-0 Looks like the answer is 26 minutes. Patience...
-
I only see an update for the router. Teleports staying at 2.7.1?
-
@fred-kinder-0 very strange... mine took 5 minutes
-
@albert-lee Yes, Teleport will be staying at 2.7.1
-
@ubnt-brett hey Brett I just updated the router and meshpoints.. hopefully it fixes my problem with amplifi. Also... Is the A-MSDU worth enabling? because when I looked on wiki it said if you have over 100mps internet to enable. We pay for 100mps from Cox and get anywhere from 80-130 at any given time.
-
@david-gotelli Strange indeed, it appeared to update and reboot, then went to the "No internet connection..." display for about 20 minutes, and than appeared to reboot again and has remained up since the second reboot.
-
@fred-kinder-0 i also got the second reboot, but my total time was less than 5 minutes

@ubnt-brett updated and tried setting A-MSDU option. my iphone 6s kept switching to 2.4GHz, so i turned it back off.
i had been on auto channel selection and, after this update, 5GHz selected channel 40, which is faster sometimes but often has interference. waiting to see if it will auto switch to another channel when that happens.
one other weird thing. my signal strength, reported in client details, is only between 84% and 90% when only 3 feet away from the router. performance is still mostly equal to or better than 2.7.1
-
Upgrade went fine for me. Curious what "Improved web portal" means... I see fewer options and no other changes?
-
@mike-pires I would just leave it off. I tried it on and didn't help much.
-
@david-gotelli yeah, no big deal to leave it off. just wanted @UBNT-Brett to know it didn’t work well.
-
Two things I noticed
Roaming settings is missing only K/V is there, not sure if it's intentional used to be K/V/R.Secondly MSDU for Mesh point performance options is gone, any reason for those settings to be removed?
This is coming from the beta

@ubnt-brett How do I turn on "Turbo" mode? Is it the same as the A-MSDU option? I am using the Amplifi router in bridge mode.
-
@rakesh-gupta Enabling A-MSDU is part of it yes, that concept is still being worked on so for now just enabling A-MSDU is whats available.
-
@edward-dolezal 802.11R was reported to have issues with some apple devices so for this public release it has been decided not to include it just yet.
Keep an eye on this for the next beta FW
-
@david-gotelli I would say enable A-MSDU and look for an improvement. I would love to hear back from you on if you see an improvement or not. This is not a beta firmware but a public release so testing on your part is not required by any means. Also, I don't believe this release will address your previous issue so just a heads up.
