HD Router MAC Schizophrenia

  • Firmware 2.8.9, running in Bridge mode

    The bottom of my HD Router says: F0xxxxA0xxxx
    If I log on to the web interface the Support link shows: f0:xx:xx:a0:xx:xx

    My Comcast cable modem router identifies the router as: AFi-R-HD-A0xxxx-6 with MAC Address F2:xx:xx:A0:xx:xx

    My Comcast cable mode router identifies an OFFLINE device as: AFi-R-HD-A0xxxx with MAC Address F0:xx:xx:A0:xx:xx

    The AmpliFi app shows a bunch of different MAC Addresses...
    LAN = f2:xx:xx:a0:xx:xx
    WiFi 2.4 GHz = f0:xx:xx:a1:xx:xx
    WiFi 5 GHz = f0:xx:xx:a2:xx:xx
    Guest WiFi 2.4 GHz = f2:xx:xx:a1:xx:xx
    Guest WiFi 5 GHz = f2:xx:xx:a2:xx:xx
    Bluetooth = f2:xx:xx:a0:xx:xx

    So at some point my Comcast cable modem router started identifying the AmpliFi Router as having a different MAC address.
    Or does it change from F0 to F2 between HDCP and Bridge mode?

    But the device name added a '-6' to the end for the F2 MAC - is that related IPv6?

    Is this change to the MAC address what screwed up my Teleport via UPnP?

    And when I had manually set the port and port forward on the cable modem router, the reserved IP address had been based on the origional F0 MAC and was obviously not working for the F2 MAC?

    What's up with the MAC addresses?
