Does the AmpliFi has UniFi web GUI?
-
Hey everyone,
Want to buy this beauty but before that I need to know will I be able to use those cool dashboards with advanced features. I mean Mobile App is great but I'm going to connect unifi switch and want be able to manage all channels.
Thanks in advance.

@nikolay-yukhnov Nope, it's a different management console than UniFi. If you want the fancy pants UniFi portal, you'll have to buy UniFi equipment.
-
@shane-milton Thank you Shane! Than I'll go with ER-X-SFP + switch+wifi spot
-
@nikolay-yukhnov Yeah, if you want all of those power user features, you're definitely better off with UniFi gear. If they're important to you, you'll be disappointed with AmpliFi. It's meant to be plug-and-play for non-technical and lightly-technical users.
Side question: Do all of the EdgeRouters give you the same UniFi functionality? I thought some of those didn't fully integrate with UniFi since they're not part of the UniFi systems. I've never owned any UniFi equipment as I stumbled upon AmpliFi as I was researching the list of UniFi equipment I was about to purchase, so my research was incomplete (and is now somewhat dated). My understanding was that you'd want a USG and not an ER.

Can @UBNT-Brett comment on this before @Nikolay-Yukhnov makes a purchasing decision?
-
@shane-milton that is correct! @Nikolay-Yukhnov If you are wanting to use UNMS then you will not want to purchase any Edge equipment, it cannot be managed using UNMS.
-
Hi @ubnt-brett - but when will UNMS finally support AmpliFi?
-
@derek-saville I do not have an ETA for this, all I know is what was shared in the UBNT community

@ubnt-brett Thank you guys. But on the unms.com mentioned that it's available on Edge Switch and The EdgeRouter
X SFP is supported and managed by UNMS as well. So where is the source of truth? thanks in advance
-
@nikolay-yukhnov That UNMS is specifically for Edge products and is still in beta. But this does not allow you to cross UniFi products and Edge products. Sorry for the confusion, I was thinking you wanted to combine the two product lines originally.
-
@ubnt-brett Cool, thank you Brett. I'm going to buy The Edge Router + Edge Switch. And maybe it's a good idea to have AmlpiFi as a wifi spot. But in this case I could manage channels on the router level using UNMS am I right?
-
@nikolay-yukhnov That is correct. If you used AmpliFi as your WiFi you would just need to place it into bridge mode.

Thank you guys for your help! You've helped me to make a decision.
Summary: Ubiquiti EdgeRouter X SFP 5 + Edge Switch ES-5XP + AmpliFi or another wifi spot. UNMS as a 'Flight Control Center'Best wishes
