Did V2.9.5 degrade WiFi performance
-
Since the last upgrade to 2.9.5 my WiFi performance goes to about 1/5 of expected after about a week of us. Rebooting the router and extenders fixes it. The slowdown doesn’t impact hardwired connections.
Anyone else having this issue?

@scott-buchanan did you enabled msdu for client devices?
I've suggested a memory cleaning feature request that should help with the preformace on the unit because it has a very small amount of ram.

@scott-buchanan Are you seeing this performance loss across all wireless devices?
This article may help: https://help.amplifi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360015239594-Troubleshooting-WiFi-Disconnections-and-Stability-IssuesIssues like this have been reported in the past, but to my knowledge not after v2.9.5.
Things to check:
- If you have a modem/router combo from your ISP, ensure that it is placed into Bridge Mode (or AmpliFi is placed in Bridge Mode if the providers equipment does not allow it)
- Enable band steering
- Enable A-MSDU (done through the WebUI: https://help.amplifi.com/hc/en-us/articles/220978907-Does-AmpliFi-have-a-web-interface-)
- Test an additional SSID with 5GHz or 2.4GHz only. This will help us determine if its an environmental issue.
- If all else fails a factory reset can be a solution and you can use the same SSID and password so you do not have to re-configure all of your devices.
You can also generate support files from your AmpliFi router and we can try to determine the issue there.
