Firmware v3.0.0
-
I seem to be having an issue with band steering and channel 40 on my Samsung galaxy Tab S2, when I turn off band steering the tablet connects to 5ghz when band steering is on it gets stuck on 2.4 GHz but which any other channel this isn't an issue though it might have been in the past with 157, I have noticed the app can be glitchy at times when it come to such things as reporting which band a device is using.
Update....
It works now it must be some sort of bug I've noticed it a few times happen if I remember correctly it might have done it with other channels, but it only seems to be the tablet having the issue where my phone's seem to work fine oh well I'll just replace it eventually.

To be fair buddy, adding option 61 was a super simple addition,
That’s my guess as to why it was added so quickly,
The teleport problem may be a little more challenging.
I doubt it was revenue based, but if it was adding something so simple is a no brainer.
Best of luck buddy on your issue

@scuzzy-mac I tend to agree with @derek-saville. I have been waiting for the ability to disable the radios entirely on my Amplifi system. This is basic router 101 functionality. Still waiting 2 years later...
-
Waiting patiently here in the UK for v3.0. Got my Draytek Vigor 130 ready to connect replacing my NowTV router. I'll create some instructions how to setup option 61 once I'm all setup and ready. Can we expect a full roll out of v3.0 today?
-
Hi @Scuzzy-Mac & @Wayland-Kramer - I don’t disagree and admit my sarcasm was clouded in frustration
If you follow the ER stuff, then yes the DHCP Option 61 fix was likely very simple to implement
But so are a lot of features requested on this forum
They could pretty easily implement SQ QoS, proven so on the GE which is an identical hardware platform to the HD, yet it remains withheld
I myself have lobbied for the ability to disable radios too, a lot
We may disagree on whether Teleport meets the definition of a broken product, but it definitely doesn’t do what they claim
If they are not going to improve Teleport they can simply declare it (just like the USB port will never be activated) and everyone moves on
Instead we wait...and ask

@jeffrey-staples Mine became available this morning for the first time!
-
@wayland-kramer Nothing here as yet
I'll keep checking though.
-
@jeffrey-staples my 40th check today still says 2.9.5 is up to date
-
@wayland-kramer I'm guessing that it's a wave based rollout so it's done in stages, or the server is fully loaded with downloads.
-
@edward-dolezal I would think fear of overwhelming tech support is front and center in any decision to roll something out slowly. That's why we do it where I work. I am sure that is likely why it is trickling out so slowly.
-
@jeffrey-staples Same
-
One would think having the firmware roll-back feature would help to alleviate enough of the risks to at least allow those who manually check for updates to receive it on-demand
Those who do manually check most likely already know how to access the Web UI Support page...
-
@ubnt-kevin any idea when the new app will be available? Can't wait to also tests the new features
-
@ubnt-kevin When should customers with version 2.9.5 expect to receive the 3.0.0 update?
-
@benoit-chesneau Did you mean QoS by chance? QoS is not active in bridge mode.
-
I installed the 3.0.0 update. Finally a guest network for bridge mode. However, this doesn't seem to work? My network is 192.168.7.x, default GW is 192.168.7.254. When connected to the guest network I get a 192.168.229.x IP and a default GW of 192.168.229.1 is assigned. Cool. However, I can't ping 192.168.229.1 nor any hosts (like 8.8.8.8) behind it. Anybody any idea?
-
@benoit-chesneau @Mark-Miller The update is being gradually rolled out. You should be receiving the update by the end of tomorrow.
-
@ubnt-kevin yes this is what i meant sorry
OK then. I would admit that these days my main wish is to have the ap working with SD. Anyway thanks for this release. I now wait for the IOSapp update

I'm super thrilled about Teleport support for the Gamer's Edition. Here's a question: did anyone get Teleport to work with Amplifi HD or Gamer's Edition in bridge mode (I use a different router, only Gamer's Edition for WiFi)? Does that work?
-
Hi @robert-thiele - yes, Teleport works fine with HD routers in Bridge mode, and I would expect the same with the GE
Many people use an AmpliFi router in Bridge mode behind other routers as a Teleport server only and nothing else, which is why we really wish we could turn off the radios and disable WiFi altogether
I use a different router, only Gamer's Edition for WiFi
Don't you lose all of the special Gamers Edition latency and QoS functionality in Bridge mode behind another router?
Just curious as I haven't had a chance to try a GE...
