Triggering “Arriving Home” HomeKit scene when using teleport?!
-
First time away using my teleport. Having to reset it just to broadcast a SSID again is another issue, but when I connect to it my HomeKit “Arriving Home” scene is triggered. My device location is correct when using maps, and other geofenced apps don’t trigger home. So what is going on here with HomeKit specifically and is there anyway to prevent this? Thanks.

This has been reported and we are currently working on a resolution.

I am not familiar with the Apple HomeKit and its full functionality, can you explain this in a little more detail for me? Your device will be given an IP address from your home network, and if the HomeKit recognizes devices base on connectivity to the home network this could be why its triggering.

@ubnt-brett sorry man only 1/4 of the led is working and it’s no longer broadcasting any SSID anymore. I think it’s possibly bricked.

This is a confirmed bug from the recent release that has been fixed and currently in beta. For the short time until the fix is released, restore functionality to the Teleport by using the reset button on the bottom of the device. This will not remove the pairing from your home network and will clear the network credentials so you can connect to a new network once again.

@ubnt-brett Thanks. Resetting it works. As far as the geofence HomeKit automations running I believe the issue is when I set up my teleport I did it at home using a hotspot. Someone my iPhone has associated the teleport SSID with my home location.
