Firmware v3.1.0?
-
I'm seeing an update available but there's nothing listed on the forum and I don't see a release notes link. Can we get a changelog?
-
This appears to be a change log.

AmpliFi Teleport app support
That one is a bit of a head scratcher. My Teleport does not show any available updates.
-
@ryan-lovelett This is a new Teleport app that allows your mobile device to VPN to your home network without any additional hardware. We are finalizing the app and will post once it is available, along with a how-to guide.
-
@ui-brett Is this the same version as the current beta build? Or should I expect an update prompt.
-
@tristan-baptist The public release will be different so you should be receiving a prompt. We are using a gradual rollout for the update so you may not see the update right away.
-
Updated. Can't see any noticeable improvements or issues in regular use, all fine so far
-
I'm still waiting it might take a while, and oddly hitting update check in the app is not making it detect the update so it looks like I'm up for a long wait, not a big issue.
-
@UI-Brett how does the staggered release eaves work what methodology determines what devices receive it when, as in is the first wave release to beta testers first?
Also were the WiFi preformace changes ported form the beta or is it newer than the beta version firmware version.
-
@edward-dolezal Mine just popped up on screen yesterday but when 3.0 was released I was one of the last to receive it. I'm not a Beta tester either.
-
@joe-johal ahh I see it's because you are still on official firmware so possibly beta users will have to wait longer.
-
Can firmware be rolled back? My unit upgraded to 3.1.0 on , and then absolutely died a couple hours after the upgarde. I cannot connect to it via the app after several reboots.
-
@joe-johal same here!
-
@adam-cash @René-Guitar when you say it died, does that mean your entire network went down? You can roll back using the WebUI, follow this article for instructions on how to roll back.
But first, can you please generate support files (from the WebUI if you cannot connect to the app by navigating to http://amplifi.lan/support) and email them to me please so I can see what is happening?
-
@edward-dolezal It is completely randomized.
-
@ui-brett ahh cool I understand I guess that makes it fair in that case people can't complain about others getting the new firmware before they do, and you will receive a different set of test's every release.
I was under the impression that beta testers would be the first to receive it so they could give initial feedback on any issues before everyone else got it.
-
@edward-dolezal Most of the time our final beta release turns directly into our public release. So the beta users are basically on the public release maybe minus one or two slight adjustments.
-
@ui-brett no issue whatsoever, on the contrary, router seems to perform better! Thanks
-
Well, looks like this release is the "tick" in the tick-tock of firmware releases where tick means really massive performance issues fixed in the tock release. I just wish the release notes didn't always say "performance improvements." That's "alternate facts."
-
@ui-brett that's awesome makes me more excited to receive the new update in that case
Thank you very much for clearing that up.

I just rolled back to 3.01 since the 3.1 started causing blips in internet connectivity. Wired connections were dropping saying there was no connectivity every few minutes. Back to 3.01 and everything is working fine again.
