Burned(?) spots on device cover [Amplifi Home WI-FI mesh router]
-
Has anyone found any burned spots on your device?
The device works fine, but I'm worried.
Thx, Pal

@palócz-pál first time when I’m seeing such situation! Maybe @UI-Brett @UI-Gunars @UI-JT @UI-Karlis or other stuff members can provide assistance
-
@palócz-pál Is the device near anything or does its environment not allow heat dissipation?
-
@ui-jt Good question, but no. I'm a technical person, an IT expert, and I pay attention to that. No other equipment has been around since the first installation. The router is standing on the desk without anything around. It looks rother internal overheat. What internal part can cause this?
-
@palócz-pál There is nothing really there, just circuit board that does not generate heat, the markings look like they could be external, the AmpliFi is easily marked or stained. It is possible to be internal but the location looks like it does not align with anything.

Im experiencing also a lot of heat comming from the device, no burnmarks though. But alarming heat so to speak.
After the latest update my network is toast, every device is out of control, cant connect or limited connection
-
@w-otter Please try rolling back to the previous firmware and let me know if your connections improve as well as the heat.
Also, if you could gather support files for me before rolling back, we can see if we can identify what exactly is happening.

Was this resolved?

@inge-jones I currently don't have any customers reaching out with this issue after the latest update.
