Teleport App on iOS problem
-
Almost same problems here:
Cellular connection works sometimes
Wifi works
iPhone XR, T-mobile Germaby, IPv6 disabled
-
I have exactly the same problem. My cellular connection never works (and never has worked) on T-Mobile in the US. Help!

@samad-siddiqui Are you using an iPhone as well? Do you have another VPN enabled by chance? I know there have been issues between VPN services and Tmobile, take a look at their forum https://support.t-mobile.com/thread/137453. If you cam PM me a support file I can take a look and see if there are any errors. Thanks.

I have a similar problem. However, I'm thinking it might be the result of my LAN configuration. My Amplifi mesh router (in Bridge Mode) is behind the Spectrum router which is connected directly to the separate Spectrum modem. Spectrum router performs all DHCP functions. I'm thinking that the iPhone-generated Teleport app connection request from outside never makes it through the Spectrum router to the Amplifi router to complete the connection. If I switch my Amplifi router position to a direct connection to the Spectrum modem and only use the Spectrum router to bridge mode the other LAN connections, would that enable the Amplifi router to "see" the Teleport app request for connection and honor it?
Just looking for solutions to a frustrating setup issue.

@larry-watkins This should work because the firewall from Spectrum will no longer block the connection.

I've also run into this problem with the Alien. Here are my tests:
*Amplifi Alien Router w/ IPv6 disabled
*iPhone 11 Pro w/ latest iOS & AT&T cellular serviceTests:
Cellular w/ no wifi WORKS
Wifi w/ no cellular WORKS
Cellular & wifi enabled does NOT WORK
Wifi enabled & cellular disabled during connection, then enable cellular after connected WORKS
-
Same problem here.
- Amplifi Alien /IPv6 disabled
- iPhone XS IOS 13.3.1 Sprint cellular
- Only Wifi works but not cellular.
-
Same problem here.
iPhone XR fails to connect over T-Mobile cellular in all cases. It also fails to work on some WiFi networks but works on others with cellular disabled.
IPv6 is disabled.

I have the same issue with my iPhone XS Max and TMobile. IPv6 is disabled on the Amplifi. I've seen issues with TMobile and VPN connections before. Apparently TMO uses IPv6 and if the receiving end doesn't, it won't connect.
-
Any ETA of when will this get fixed?
-
This problem could be related with all the CGNAT carriers (most of them)
I have an iPad that works fine on 4G using Three UK, and the iPhone using EE UK doesnt.
I guess also Three has cgnated network, but maybe another configuration in place.
The IP that sits behind the VPN Profile is an AWS range, so I guess there is a block in the Carrier NAT blocking access to that AWS range.

When connected to TMobile Cellular Network, Teleport never works.

Hi @chanlkanthony - - one user is saying in the beta firmware thread that the latest testflight beta of the iOS Teleport App has fixed the T-Mobile connection issue...
https://community.amplifi.com/topic/2904/alien-firmware-3-4-0rc1/33
Here is the link to the new beta Teleport app: https://testflight.apple.com/join/0zchzq2w.
It has several improvements which can increase successful connection chance and speed.

Updated to 3.4 firmware on the Alien, and also installed 1.1.3(3) Teleport app on the phone, still doesn't get me connect.

@chanlkanthony update:
I turned on DMZ on upstream "main" router for the Alien and works.... anyone know what's the port forward setting?
