Teleport app fails to connect

I'm trying to set up the Teleport app on my iPhone and it's failing to connect with no useful error message. It goes through the "Connecting to internet" state to "Tunnel active" but then fails with "Could not establish connection!". It looks like it managed to register with the router (I can see the new device in the Amplifi app) but something went wrong after that... I'm trying on cellular network with WiFi disabled. How can I troubleshoot this issue?

@marcin-goliszewski Can you test on a WiFi network? Who is your cell phone carrier?

My carrier is T-Mobile US. I've tried with a WiFi network but I get errors related to NAT traversal (totally possible with the network I used) and don't have a different network handy at this point. Anyway, my main use-case is the cellular connection so debugging that is essential.

@marcin-goliszewski having the full functionality of the app is the goal, not just wifi or cellular, this was just a question to help me narrow down the issue. Are you on iOS or Android?

I just tried on a different WiFi network and managed to connect without any issues - however, the connection still can’t be established over cellular data.

@ui-brett having exactly the same problem, the only difference is that my cellular provider is Orange France

@ui-brett I have the same problem over a hotel Wifi in Madrid from an iPhone X iOS 3.1.3
Firmware 3.1.2
AmpliFi app 1.11.1 (7)
Teleport 1.0.3It works fine using 4G on Vodafone ES
Strange it worked last night.

@ui-brett Any updates on this? FWIW, the issue repros exactly the same on iOS 13.2.2.

@ui-jt Like I said, it works on WiFi but doesn't work on cellular - I don't have any other SIM cards to test on different cellular providers if that's what you're asking about...

@marcin-goliszewski Hi Marcin! Based on the fact you are using T-Mobile I can conclude it's a known issue which is currently being worked on by AmpliFi development team. Stay tuned for app updates!

@marcin-goliszewski Right, it's a peculiar T-Mobile network in combination with iOS which prevents connection establishment. A silly workaround we are aware of is to use Teleport app on Android phone which should work fine with T-Mobile.
