Amplifi iOS app stuck on 'Looking for AMPLIFI devices'

Amplifi iOS app stuck on 'Looking for AMPLIFI devices'. I'm on connected to the WiFi, multiple devices are connect. The app was working before the recent updates. I do not want to do a system reset/restore as suggested by your chatbot.

Been on chat with support (both bot and real agent) for an hour. Agent suggested uninstall and reinstall the iOS app. That did not solve the problem. I'm able to connect via web browser with the router via the router ip.
-
@tuan-nguyen-0 Factory reset the router and set it up again with the app.

I have a similar problem, with a twist; iPhone Xr (iOS 13.2.2 / v1.11.1) sticks on Looking for "SSID name" and never connects, while an iPad Mini4 (iOS 13.2.2 / v1.11.1) connects with no issue. I think this pretty much eliminates the HD as the issue and points to the AmpliFi WiFi app as the issue.
-
@fred-kinder-0 Uninstall the app, install it again an connect it back to the router.
-
@ui-jt Re-installation of the AmpliFi WiFi app seems to have resolved the issue.
-
@fred-kinder-0 Spoke too soon, 13 hours later, the iPhone again won't connect to the remote AmpliFi HD ("Unable to locate device", while the iPad has no problem connecting to the remote AmpliFi HD.
-
@fred-kinder-0 Thanks for reporting, I will look in to this further. What version is the Ipad using?
-
I also have this issue when connecting remotely. My one phone works fine connecting remotely but my other one says "unable to locate device or takes about 3 minutes to connect. I have tried deleting app and factory reset. I have sent in the support file and waiting to here back.
-
The iPhone Xr is iOS 13.2.2 with v1.11.1 and fails inconsistently; and the iPad Mini4 is also iOS 13.2.2 with v1.11.1 and consistently works

Hi all, I just wanted to chime in to say that the app does not work at all for me on iPhone Xr. My wife’s iPhone X works fine.
Did anyone find a solution? Reinstalling the app doesn’t help.
-
@nbrempel In regards to remote access, only one account can be configured at a time (Google, Facebook or UI) But that one account can be logged into multiple devices and used.
When you uninstall the app, sometimes the cache is not deleted so you will want to clear it from the settings app, then try to launch and view your network.

I was having the same issues and came across this post, the answer wasn’t here but it helped me rule things out, my solution was to switch off my phone’s VPN and it instantly finds the router, if I turn it back on and search again, gone.
Maybe try turning any VPN off first then try looking up the router in the app again, I didn’t even have to restart the app.
Hope this helps someone =]

@TicoSATX Always ensure that VPN connections are turned off as they prevent your devices from finding local devices.
