How to change alien ip
-
I need to change the alien router ip to 192.168.1.254, how I can do it?
-
@josé-luis-revah This cannot be done unless you are using the Alien in bridge mode. Then you can set a static lease in the DHCP server for the Alien.
-
If I do so, I'll miss the functions of the Alien? or what things can I do with the Alien in Bridge Mode?
-
@revah-jose-luis You will loose the ability to pause internet devices with the AmpliFi app and the Alien will not do any routing but still does all the wireless functions.

Thanks. The problem is the router of my internet provider is in bridge mode and I need the Alien as the router that distributes the local internet. I have all my devices configured 192.168.1.254 as the internet gateway

Hi @UI-Karlis - please, how about giving us the option to manually set the 4th octet of the LAN side IP address in the web UI so we can use something other than '.1' in DHCP/STATIC/PPoE mode?
If it's in the web UI you don't need to worry about exposing it in the app and users of the web UI can handle anything that breaks...
