Amplifi Alien not in stock...

I'm kind of disgusted by Amplifi/Ubiquiti's approach to early buyers of the Alien.
I bought one in November only to learn in January that a mesh kit was now available at a $100 savings over two full routers. But, I decided to go ahead and buy a second full router, only to find that they are out of stock, and have been every time I've looked for nearly a month now.
Meanwhile the mesh kits are available. So I wrote and asked if and when the single routers would be available using the web store's chat function, and after being told that I couldn't get an answer from them, that I would need to contact customer service, I was told by a customer service rep, "Well, I think they'll be back in stock some time. Keep checking...."
This is poor customer service. Not only can I not get a second, I can't even pre-order, but have to check the web store daily. And the bundles are being sold. Why not break a bundle and sell some of us poor suckers who bought the router before the bundle was made available the dumb mesh unit, and others the full unit?

@david-bayly I absolutely understand your frustration! It's been very difficult to keep in stock and you are not alone in wanting more information. I can never guarantee when, and without any options for pre-order or backorder sales the only option is to check back. From what I have been told, we are expecting more in stock on Monday (Feb 3rd).
The demand for stand alone routers have been greater than the kits, which is also why it has been more stable stock. Just like our other products, the kits are hard coded to each other so there is no option to break the pairing and use just the router out of the kit.

Any update on the stock of the Alien router? I have been searching the store and all over the internet.

@rob-thomas we are anticipating more to come in either today or tomorrow with weather permitting. Check our store throughout the day and tomorrow periodically. Right now, you will only find it on store.amplifi.com , no other resellers have stock yet.

@UI-Brett Just went online and they are out of stock again already - I understand they were up for a few hours?
Frustrating. I was going to buy 3 of them. For a company like Ubiquity I am happy for the apparent popularity of the Alien - but how is it going to get any traction if you can't keep it in stock locally (not to mention Amazon or any other retailer?).
So, when is the next in-stock ETA for amplify?

I guess these means no chance of getting Alien any time soon in the UK. At this rate Iām guessing late 2020!

@Daniel-Osers I will update this thread when we get an ETA for a fulfillment. My apologies for the frequent sell out of the product, we are working towards a solution for this. Thanks.

Any word on when these will be available internationally, I am keen to buy three mesh kits for different family homes but no stock has made it to Australia yet

I have the router unit already, however will there be an option to purchase just the mesh add-on? It was mentioned that the kits are hard coded to work together, however i'm hoping we will be able to purchase the mesh satellite to expand the coverage?

@spbenoit Hi I do not know of plans to produce MeshPoints for the Alien. You can purchase an Alien router and ad it as a MeshPoint.

@UI-JT Good Morning, Is this time frame for the Alien alone or for the Alien Mesh setup as well? I know it used to be in stock but now it says coming soon. Is there an estimate on this?

Hi JT,
are we still looking at potential stock soon (I know it wasn't a promise - but was hoping for the 6-7 days you mentioned 8 days ago ;). ).I know it's a new model, and I understand potential supply chain constraints out of China - but it seems Netgear and other providers (Orbi Wifi 6 etc) have no issues with stock on competing devices.
Hoping Ubiquity can get this more consistent soon, and ready to order when back in stock!
