Wi-Fi Calling Issues
-
Since switching over the the AmpliFi Alien I have had issues making calls while on Wi-Fi using Wi-Fi calling. The first and sometimes second attempts will result in failed calls. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to fix this. I use AT&T and an iPhone 11 Pro Max on the latest iOS release if that helps.

@Ritesh-Patel only works if you create a separate 5G ssid... I’ve also turned the add blocker off too not sure if that had something to do with it. Happens with my Verizon 11 pro max too. Hopefully there’s a fix coming with it. Seems to mostly affect the newer iPhones.

@Tristan-Baptist wow that’s frustrating. I would assume creating additional ssid would end up causing interference issues. I hope they are able to fix this soon.

@Ritesh-Patel true... I just game it a separate name for the 11’s in the house.

@Ritesh-Patel works flawless for me without creating a separate ssid
I’d try a reset or check for channel interference

@Ritesh-Patel If you could generate support files from your AmpliFi Alien after your calls fail, this could help us in discovering why. Other users (such as @Tristan-Baptist ) have reported this, but data from different environments always helps us discover the why and find solutions.

@UI-Brett I just emailed over the support files. Please let me know if there is anything else I can provide to assist.

@UI-Brett i wanted time see if there was any update on when the firmware will be released to fix this issue. The issue seems to be getting worse for me.

@Ritesh-Patel you’ll probably have to wait until the lastest rc of the HD units become final / public. Seems the alien has taken a bit of a back seat while it’s in a beta phase.
