Recent vulnerabilities highlight need for WPA3
WPA2 is weak to newly discovered attacks. See https://www.zdnet.com/article/new-kr00k-vulnerability-lets-attackers-decrypt-wifi-packets/
It is imperative that Amplifi release WPA3 to its current product line (I have an Alien).
I know as recently as 5 days ago Ubiquiti staff said “No ETA” but hopefully this news makes it clear we need an answer soon.

Probably this won’t be added in existing hardware, I’m guessing a new product will come out that is WPA3 certified requiring you to buy that...
But maybe I’m to cynical here

@shamelesscookie kr00k isn't an issue with the WPA2 protocol itself. It's an issue with specific chipsets and can be patched. Moving to WPA3 doesn't prevent protocol implementation bugs. Even if they had WPA3 today, if all the devices on the network don't support it, WPA2 would need to remain enabled anyway (or drop the devices from the network). That's not to say I don't agree with you that WPA3 needs to be added sooner or later, but this specific issue doesn't increase that need.

@Raka74 The Amplifi Alien is Wifi 6 and its hardware supports it. Its a software update and it will be added later. Trust me, they want this device to be WiFi 6 certified.
Also its being made to be a bigger issue then it is.
Wifi 6 Certtification
On the left under specifications, then at the bottem of the page. All Wifi 6 hardware supports it.
@shamelesscookie The Kr00k vulnerability is known to affect Broadcom chipsets, which AmpliFi does not use. We are still however testing to see if our products are affected: https://community.amplifi.com/topic/2592/kr00k-vulnerability
@UI-Brett thank you for the link, and for everyone who has chimed in.
While I admit I’m not well informed with respect to the intricacies of WPA standards, I would love to be reassured that my newly purchased AmpliFi Alien is going to catch up with wireless standards that are less likely to be compromised.
Can we expect WPA3 support for the Alien? If so, is there a date we can point to, or a date we can check back for more details?

@shamelesscookie WPA3 has been requested from day one of the Alien release. Its on the top of their list , I would bet.
@shamelesscookie It is something we are working towards releasing on the Alien product, but an release date for that is unknown at this time. Best bet for more details is to watch the community for updates, and join the beta program because it will most likely go through beta testing before a public launch.
@UI-Brett Thank you. Can you provide a link on how to join the beta program? I couldn't find it in a cursory search of the site or in the AmpliFi app on my phone.
