Call for Feature Requests #1

I have both UniFi and AmpliFi equipment and would like to see at least the UniFi be able to manage the AmpliFi equipment. (not the other way around)

Proper access to the firewall. At the moment if you test the firewall, all ports reply to requests. Whilst this is secure I would like it to be in stealth mode. This is not achievable at the moment with zero access to anything other than port forwarding or UPnP.

The ability to handle at least 2 WANs with Load Balancing, and connection failover.

The ability to disable respond to ping on the WAN.
$ ping <WAN_IP>
PING <WAN_IP> (<WAN_IP>): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from <WAN_IP>: icmp_seq=0 ttl=45 time=141.031 ms

A better firewall, one that doesn't respond as filtered on common ports. There's really no need for TCP 135, 139,445, and 593 to allow inward traffic from the WAN. But really a simple firewall we can configure in the GUI would be better than just locking down these ports.
Nmap scan report for <WAN_IP>
Host is up (0.25s latency).
PORT STATE SERVICE
80/tcp closed http
135/tcp filtered msrpc
139/tcp filtered netbios-ssn
443/tcp closed https
445/tcp filtered microsoft-ds
593/tcp filtered http-rpc-epmap

Provide status of total data though the WAN for those of us with data caps. Allow setting if monthly reset date.

Allow dynamic DNS. Unbelievable this is not currently allowed forcing me to use my old router.

Basics: Device & Profile based bandwidth usage and ability to set usage limits
Basics: ISP speed test refresh frequency scheduler. LED/LCD alert when the speed falls below a preset mark.
Basics: Ability to set billing cycle dates and data exceed warning with LED turning amber if possible.
Bug: Data priority and live throughput not working/available for LAN connections.
Ability to cycle through chosen LCD screen modes on given date and time. No effective usage of this brilliant screen otherwise.
Alert conditions like Tinkle at every 1/10/100 GB of data consumption or when a new device added and more
Upcoming firmware release schedule to keep the hopes on this router alive.

Turn off the temporal averaging on the bandwidth reporting feature both in the app and on the front display of the amplifi router. This monitor averages over 5 seconds or so and so is not an accurate depiction of actual bandwidth used. You can see this in the app throughput history display where you can see all transit events having a long tail. That tail is not real but a consequence of the averaging being done. The same happens when a download event starts. You'll see a slow ramp to the actual bandwidth being used instead of a jump like you should. I'd rather have every bar in that graph represent the actual throughput during that bar's period. It will be more noisy but also much more useful.

@p7hk9 - I still have an older router that's just a glorified switch now, that has the USB port for a HD to be attached to it.
Would be devine...

@david-stamp - I too have gigabit and would love to see this take shape. I'm maxing out on a good day about 400-500Mbps (max) on wireless when from the ISPs RG I can get 700-800Mbps (max).
Amplifi is waaaay better than the ISP offering in features, would like to have the wireless throughput peeked at.
