My new (one week old) Amplifi HD has dropped its connection several times in the last week

As per title. Each time, turning it off and turning it on after a couple of seconds solves the issue. The bottom of the router and the metal back-plate both do feel quite hot though the router is in on a desk in the open but I am in a tropical country and I am not sure if that impacts the device.
Just for more information, I bought this device because it came highly recommended and shipped it because you weren't selling it in other countries and I was looking to set up a mesh network at home.
Any advice on trouble shooting the issue would be greatly appreciated.

@Bingming-Thum Is the HD dropping its connection to the modem, or are devices dropping from the network? When this happens, do you get an error message on the LCD screen of the router? If so what is it?

Hi Brett, it looks like the HD is dropping its connection to the Modem because it does say to contact my ISP. Let me see if it happens again today and I will take a snapshot of the message.
