Amplifi v1.13.2 (5) crashes on startup
-
Hi,
I'm using Amplifi v1.13.2 (5) on an iPhone Xs running iOS 13.5.1 and the app is crashing as soon as I open it.
I tried deleting and installing it again from the App Store (NL), but it did not help.
Any ideas?

Same to me, using an iPhone 8 Plus. I can start the app by turning off WiFi on the iPhone and then start the app and then turn on WiFi again. There seems to be a really nasty bug there...
Please fix this...

I am having this too. I have tried on iPhone and iPad with same result. Happens whether WiFi is enabled or disabled on the iPhone, so can't be related to the router.

Same issue as the others. Was working perfectly a few hours ago now crashes as soon as I open it. I'm using an iPhone XS Max. I also installed on an iPhone XR same result. Doesn't matter whether I'm on wifi or cellular app crashes as soon as I try to open it. Please fix this! Thanks

This morning the iOS app crashes immediately upon startup. I’ve tried two different phones both Apple one a Iphone 11 and the other a iPhone X with the latest non beta iOS, the latest AmpliFi app and it crashes on both phones. I have made no updates to my iOS or the app since it last opened yesterday. Please tell me a fix since there isn’t a way to mange the router as well without the app. I’ve also deleted the app and reinstalled it. After reinstalling it got as far as asking me if it could use Bluetooth and I said yes and it then crashed. It still crashing upon opening.
Thanks for any help.

Testflight Version 1.13.1(28) also crashes at launch.

Same issue.
If I start the app with Wifi on it crashes immediately. If I turn off wifi it launches, but crashes as soon as I turn on wifi.

Same issue here... I just finished chatting with support. They are aware of the issue and have reached out to their Dev team... no ETA when a resolution will be in place, but at least they are aware.

Same sh1t here. Pretty fcked up because I have no control over my network access and guest network.

I've noticed other iPhone apps aren't opening either (e.g. Spotify). Apparently there are issues at Facebook causing various apps that use Facebook for authentication to fail to open.

Same thing here. @Richard-Sterling-0

Same issue here. Using version 1.13.2 on iPhone X (13.15.1).
The app crashes immediately after opening.

@djh497 Wow... I just tried Spotify and you're right! I refuse to use Facebook to access my apps, but apps that even use Facebook authentication as an option seems to be the issue.
-
Yep, it's Facebook integration.

I have the same problem. @Richard-Sterling-0

Looks like a FaceBook issue

Ditto, same issue, identical with iOS app, July 10, Friday, 2020, 7:00 AM EST.
As of today, Friday July 10th, 7:00 AM... My AMPLIFI app, crashes immediately upon opening, repeated attempts to open app results are same crash. I’ve tried both my iPad and iPhone, same!
I can adjust some features, ie, deleting app via turning off WiFi, turning off Bluetooth to disengage access through, either Facebook, Google, etc to just local WiFi but same results... iOS app crashing upon searching for Router, either at same location or distant location...Equipment: AMPLIFI Alien with Mesh

I also have this issue - started this morning for the app. It was working fine as of yesterday.

@Brad-McEnaney Thanks for posting. That article mentions that the Facebook SDK is tied to user login. It appears to affect users who don't actually use that avenue to login (I use Google as my login, for instance).
