New user - can’t connect via Vigor 130
-
I’m 66years old and a complete techno dummy.
I have been successfully linked to BT through the phone line(no fibre) for several years via a Vigor130’, and to WiFi through an Apple Timecapsule. I wanted to extend the WiFi range through my old cottage, and, after much research, settled on the Amplifi HD UK home kit. Watched the set up video, Got the app, followed all instructions to the letter, and am unable to connect.
my story in pictures follows - can anyone please help? Thanks

@doctortom good choice of kit although the Vigor settings photos are not clear to see. In AmpliFi app, go to settings --> internet --> network type and change latter to PPPoE (instead of DHCP) and then enter your BT's username and password provided by your internet service provider. You should then be good to go but come back here if you need more help.

Now connected - thank you so much Ali xxxx

@doctortom Good to hear. Pleasure.

Now have a further issue with SkyQ mini box
“as you have ip allocation (DHCP) disabled on your router, you will need to set your IP address manually“
Is this the same as the IP address of the main SkyQ 2TB ?
Thanks again for any assistance

Sorted! Pressed WPS on sky q box, not router!
