New user, new sufferer 😏

Hi guys,
Got myself a new mesh WiFi HD Gamers addition this week. Was so looking forward to getting better WiFi and speeds and yes I have to say things around the house are far better now.
My major concern is the throughout on the device. I'm operating the latest firmware and despite having a virgin 350mb device (which I can confirm is operating at that speed) the network via Amplifi is slow, very slow.
I've done speed tests via the app from wireless and I can't achieve over 200mb, it's pretty consistent around the house and next to the Amplifi router, never achieving really above 170mb. No interference issues and I've tried a laptop plugged directly and that only sees 200mb max.
I read something about the speed being faulty on the app and not showing the true speed but not sure.
Any help appreciated. I'm clearly not getting the speed I should for my connection.
Fyi the virgin hub is in modem mode.

@Richard-Saunders yes, the speed test via app is very well known to be very inaccurate. Try other methods and see. Also check that you are using a wifi channel that is not congested.
-
@Ali-Hadi cheers mate, changed the channels, no better and what concerns me is the wired wasn't great either. I've got a Sam knows box and that reports over 350mb on speed test when plugged in to the Amplifi.
Tried some of the settings as well as per others in the Web front end. No change.
At a loss really.

@Richard-Saunders Are you able to try a factory reset (with/without changing the AmpliFi's mode to 'bridge only') and see if that would make any difference? Also what firmware version are you on at prsent?
-
@Ali-Hadi I was on the latest stable version when it shipped as updated on installation and then I joined the beta programme so I'm on the latest version of that currently.
If I factory reset and go bridged mode does that mean I'll need to turn the virgin hub back to router mode and turn off its WiFi?
-
@Richard-Saunders yes, that is exactly what you would need to do. This would hopefully allow you to eliminate a NAT processing problem within the AmpliFi and failing that I would also be tempted to try a stable version of the firmware rather than a beta one (if you haven't already tried that). Hope you get there.

@Ali-Hadi will give it a go when I get a min.
What I don't get is the sam knows box gets full and max speed connected. Very odd.
How do you go back with firmwares?

@Richard-Saunders just go to the buttom of this page:
-
@Ali-Hadi any recommendations on which one might be worth trying
-
@Richard-Saunders v3.1.2 is widely regarded as being one of the best.
-
@Ali-Hadi - I've tried to roll back and factory reset but it won't let me go to 3.1.2 - only now 3.4 and roll back is to the higher previous beta.... any ideas?
The speed is still nuts - literally no faster than 160mb every time - I have a 350mb connection.
The Sam Knows box is reporting 350mb etc.....
-
@Richard-Saunders PM me and I can provide you with that firmware!
-
@UI-AmpliFi have pmed you
-
@Richard-Saunders - What was the resolve? Cause I am having similar issues with a 1Gbs service plan.

Sadly not resolved it mate
Bit disappointing tbh
