Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight
-
Curious if anyone has an Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight with an Amplifi HD system?
No matter what, I can not get this camera to operate correctly. Arlo has no clue. Essentially, I can't live stream BUT if I connect to my phone as a hotspot or the crappy internet provided router, it works great.
-
@Dhz138 For live streaming, does your Arlo pro 3 floodlight require port forwarding rules to be configured? If so, are they configured on your hotspot, ISP router and AmpliFi HD all the same?
-
@UI-AmpliFi Good question as I thought perhaps but Arlo says no. All it needs is a simple HTTP/HTTPs connection to ports 80/443.
No issues with my Nest Cam or Ring Doorbell.
Was thinking about giving 3.4.2rc1 a go to see what happens.

@Dhz138 Is your home network using both your ISP router and the AmpliFi Router? If so is one placed in bridge mode? If one is not, this can create a double NAT which may block normal UPnP ports.
-
@UI-AmpliFi Home router is essentially off for everything. Doesn't have true bridge mode as it's VDSL and needs to be up for the TVs.
Essentially, everything is connected to the AmpliFi routers (2 of them connected via ethernet backbone) and the primary router accesses the Internet via it's own PPPoE connection so no double NAT
-
@Dhz138 Does your issue resemble the one discussed here on Arlo's Community?
-
@UI-AmpliFi interesting but no. I just did a test with the latest beta firmware for the HD and no change. Really weird.
-
@Dhz138 can you get the device to work on a separate ssid from the AmpliFi?
-
@UI-AmpliFi absolutely! Works on an old Apple AirPort Extreme and the internet provider’s crappy modem.
-
@Dhz138 what I mean is if you create a separate SSID on the AmpliFi. See the steps to create that here: https://help.amplifi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360010201854-Configuring-SSIDs
-
@UI-AmpliFi Ah yes sorry! That was one of the first things I did. Created a totally separate 2.4GHz network and that too didn't work.
-
@Dhz138 this may sound dumb, but I once accidentally paused a device. I'm sure you didn't, but maybe double check.
Also, try setting the qos to streaming. Who knows, it may do the trick.
-
@Wouter-van-Nispen-tot-Sevenaer there’s no dumb questions! Not paused and I did try streaming and gaming QoS settings. No change.
-
Thanks for everyone who helped. This camera has too many issues for me and Arlo support is unable to figure out what's going as features stop working at random so returning this for a couple Eufy cameras.
-
@Dhz138 Let us know if those work! Thanks.

@UI-AmpliFi The Eufycam 2Cs work amazing with my Amplifi HD routers. Setup was a breeze and the quality is great! Zero problems vs the 3 days of frustration with the Arlo.
