Homekit
-
Dear, does anybody have problems with Homekit, nog reaction on my bulbs anymore, it's happens after installing a Ampfili!
-
@RHA62 I’ve had no problems at all. Are they WiFi bulbs?
-
@Arjan21 Yes, and I have figured out yesterday that If I connect Apple TV to another router the problem is solved, so it seems that the direct connection between Apple TV and the Ampfili is the problem
-
@RHA62 oké, so the Apple TV is your HomeKit hub. And maybe try to reset the Apple
Tv?
-
@Arjan21 already did even back to factory settings without any succes
-
@RHA62 that’s really weird. I use this setup as well, but no problems at all. With zigbee and WiFi equipment like hue, koogeek and aqara.
You’ve only installed the New WiFi and than this problem starts? Dit you connect the lights again to the network?
-
@Arjan21 the crazy thing is that devices such as the Fibaro switch and the Eve smart plug (not Hue compitable) work in combination with Apple TV & the Ampfili, but all lamps that are Hue related do not
-
@RHA62 Do you use all the hue related equipment with the hue zigbee bridge? And are they available in the hue app?
-
@Arjan21 Yes, you need a bridge except if you have the new BT bulbs, and indeed visible in the hue app, for the moment the only app / possibility to switch on/off the bulbs
-
@RHA62 dit you try to reset the HomeKit feature in the hue app? When I changed my router to the AMPLIFI I changed/reset everything in my SmartHome. So I started fresh from the start.
-
@Arjan21 Yes I did
-
I used to have these problems too with my AmpliFi setup, devices in the Home app frequently showing as no response just like you.
I now use a TP-Link router and I’ve never experienced the issue once in two months of using the new router. Nothing else in my network has changed so I believe it was somehow related to the AmpliFi router
-
@RHA62 can you submit a support file?
-
@UI-AmpliFi Issue is solved (my request (255280) I have followed your advice to turn the bridge on
-
@UI-AmpliFi I have a similar issue since upgrading Apple TV to the lates tvOS 14. Only today I had to restart the router twice to get my homekit working. Any advice?
-
I also have this exact problem, have tried separate 2.4ghz second SSID, turning mesh point ssid off or on, different settings through web interface etc.
All HomeKit devices are mostly not responsive after a few minutes or hours after rebooting the Amplifi HD. Searching the forums it seems extremely common and seems to have started after firmware 3.12.
I’m about to sell this thing and go for an Orbi system I think. I have 12 or so HomeKit devices and growing fast, this is a showstopper
-
@RHA62 I think I'm having a similar issue where Homekit automations is not switching my bulbs on 2 days after a reboot
-
@RHA62 I can confirm there is a bug with AMPLIFI , Homekit and Lifx.
I am forced to reboot my router every 2 days else automations and remote connectivity stops working.

It is Amplifi problem, half of my AHK devices are on IPv6 and when I look at Amplifi diagnostic, it says internet connection problem with IPv6. This happens whenever they push out a new beta fw to my Amplifi . The work around for me is disable IPv6 in the Amplifi app. Then go back to your AHK app and verify your devices are connected. Then after a minute turn IPv6 back on via Amplifi App. Then it should correct the problem.

Firmware update 3.4.4 seems to have fixed all of my HomeKit problems.
