Gigabit WAN

Hi all,
Can someone please tell me if the WAN port on the HD supports gigabit ethernet? I have read mixed comments about its capability. I have enabled Hardware NAT but does that refer to the local network and not the WAN port?
Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Yes it does. At least I got that level of performance when I had gigabit fiber.
