This Amplifi company really do not lissten or dont care about their customers!!!
Everywhere here people complain about stability issue, wifi drops issue and other issue and they just released the firmware so fast from rc1.We'll see how this will end.
-
@Eric35 They did listen. That’s y the brought out this update. If you read the notes, it’s exactly what they trying to fix. If you you having issues drop back to 3.1.2 and u will be ok. If you want to take a chance then update and see how it goes and if you having problems send it to them so they can maybe figure out what is going on. Instead of complaining constantly just try and help the situation.
-
@Nico-Christodoulakis so if this work for you then good but for most people nothing works since 3.1.2. and this was long time ago.
So next time stop being so rude and continue with yours.People feel they have been tricked and reporting all the time issue's but the issue never been fixed, that's why they move from Amplifi to Orbi or Google or some other wifi mesh system.
Because this is old, people are tired to having issue every time a new firmware update releases."Nough"

@UI-AmpliFi have the same issues as in rc1 and rc0 with dropouts.. 3.4.1 was stable...
-
@Eric35 look all I’m saying is try the update and if doesn’t work then go back to 3.1.2. If you not happy go to another mesh network. It’s that simple. Your complaining doesn’t help anyone. The update has sorted out all my issues that I hade with update 3.3.0. So try it or don’t but I advise find another place to go vent your anger. We need to help everyone here and not be so snooty about problems.
-
@Nico-Christodoulakis good for you BUT not for many others.!!!
Just calm down
-
How did you guys get it to install? It didn't show up when I had beta turned on so I turned it off and still doesn't show. Maybe that added me to the slow rollout pool.
-
@Eric35 What makes you know that for "most" people nothing works?
I'm operating a HD router with one meshpoint and have been on rc0 and rc1 before. Both have been absolutely stable for me and so is the final release so far (running since 10h). Seven Apple devices are connected via air interface without any hiccups and excellent performance (MBP and iPhone achieve 400mbit/s when connected directly to HD and right next to it).
Also roaming between HD and meshpoint with iPhone is pretty smooth without connection drops.
-
@Eric35 What is not working for you? Other users have reported positive feedback for new FW.
-
I upgraded this morning. My setup is 4x RAMPs connected via ethernet backhaul servicing about 25 clients (33% wired and 67% wireless). No issues so far since the upgrade. Network connectivity appears to be stable with 2 people working remotely via VPN alongside media streaming.
-
I have checked multiple times for an update in my Amplifi app but it doesn’t show up. Are they doing a roving roll-out or can everyone download it?
-
Yes, Jamie, it's in the first post.
@UI-AmpliFi said in AmpliFi HD Firmware v3.4.2:
We use a gradual rollout for the update
-
Update remotely from RC1 went well. All devices reconnected without issues. Performance looks stable so far.
-
@Victor-Dusovic if you have Apple devices please keep us posted on the performance after a few hours/days. Would be interested to know exactly what/how that issue was resolved in this stable release verses the most current rc2
-
@UI-AmpliFi Any chance of some backing detail for each of these bullet points? While I appreciate the inclusion of the CVE numbers for security fixes as that lets me find additional info so I can evaluate what the risk was/is and when to upgrade, there is no info on any of the other improvements.
-
@Eric35 You may be right, but that's really all you are.
-
@UI-AmpliFi Where are the extra parameters on the web interfaces? (like A-MSDU, HardwareNAT, various 802.11'x' settings). I don't find them on the web interface?
Thanks!

Rebooted and now the advanced settings are back...
weird...
-
@René-Guitar Thank you for reporting this. I have never come across this before except for when the advance settings were still in beta only firmware. I will keep my eye out for any more reports similar to this and see if it can be replicated at all.
