AmpliFi HD Firmware v3.4.2
-
Updated to 3.4.2 and are unable to enable "Remote Management" on the Amplifi. Getting "Forbidden 403" error, time out errors and "Oops, something went wrong". Deleted and reinstalled apps on iPhone. "Checking device status" takes some time and not completing. On the web UI, went to "Support - Tools to deactivate an account but only wifi protect setup is available. Cannot generate a code for Teleport.
-
Hi @Sigma-Orionis - the AmpliFi backend has been down for a few hours and that may be affecting you...
Remote Management has been down for at least an hour and Teleport has been having issues for at least 6 hours or so

@Derek-Saville Thank you for your quick answer. Appreciate it.

Upgraded from v3.4.1 to v3.4.2 and was ok for a day or so but in the last 2 days I've had the router report no internet twice when the DSL light on the modem is solid green so no signs of an ISP issue. I didn't see this on v3.4.1. Now the decision is whether to roll back to v3.4.1 or even further to v3.1.2 that others have said is stable. Really shouldn't have to - it's not like the product has only just come out. So far when it works (and I've only had it a week or so) things are good but I can't live with an unreliable router.

@Lee-Marsh The rollback feature will take you directly back to the version you are on, which would be 3.4.1. I would suggest starting there, and if for some reason you are still experiencing these issues even after rolling back, we can help you go back even further to 3.1.2. We would request that you generate support files on 3.4.2 before rolling back so we can hopefully identify what is happening on your network.

@UI-AmpliFi I generated support info (2.5GB!) - what do I do with it now?
-
@Lee-Marsh Email that to me at help@amplifi.com please and in the body of the email include a link to this community thread.
-
@UI-AmpliFi Will a 2.5GB file even go through my email/ISP? I can try.
-
@UI-AmpliFi I can answer my own question - looks like my email attachment limit is somewhere around 25MB.
-
Same old problems with Apple devices - a few hours after reboot one or more of them run at about 25% speed.
-
@Lee-Marsh Using gmail it will usually attach a link to a drive download for the recipient to download. If not, you could try to download via the app which may do the same thing but directly via the email client.
-
@UI-AmpliFi FIles sent (and they weren't 2.5GB, my mistake)

Been 8 days since the rollout of update V3.4.2....I know it may take up to 1 week but its been 8 days.....does it usually takes longer than 8 days??? Thanks
-
@Carlos-Flores Yesterday, we updated the rollout to 100%. Your system may not show the update automatically on the LCD screen, but you should be able to prompt the update by using the mobile app or the Web Interface.
-
@UI-AmpliFi I've tried the iphone app and it says firmware is up to date. If i go to the about section I am in firmware 3.4.0. Never got any update notification via the iphone app or via the router itself.
I also just tried it via the web interface and it says no update available.

@Carlos-Flores
I had the same in the past with 3.4.1 that didn’t show in 8 daysI went to the web UI and turned “receive beta firmware” option on, the router immediately found new firmware. Then I turned the option off again
-
@Timofey-K Thanks I did the same thing and the update showed up... I am now wondering if there is some sort of glitch going on.......

@estesbubba
Same for me. Had to again rollback to 3.1.2. I will remain there until next release has been out much longer and others indicate things are better. I don’t have Apple device issues with 3.1.2 so not sure why I even tried 3.4.1 or 3.4.2.

Oh boy, i've been holding off updating FW ever since the 3.3.0 version broke all my wired connections. rolled back to 3.1.x and everything was fine again.
Thought i'd try this one seeing as how its been a while, and surely it would have resolved those earlier issues... no such luck. Once again, updating to 3.4.2 has just killed all ethernet connected devices. no amount of reboots will make them appear. and none of them are have internet now (2x airport expresses for airplay, 1x appleTV).
Wish they could get these FW updates consistent. There's nothing unusual about my setup, it's a fairly basic config. Looks like I'll still be stuck on 3.1.x for the foreseeable future.

I’ve been using 3.1.2 since it came out. Rock-solid but decided to install 3.4.2 about 4 days ago. I’m very happy with the performance, stability and roaming-functionality.
Setup: mainly Apple- and Nest-devices. Using 3 HD routers with a wired backbone.
Just to give some positive feedback also ....
