Ubiquiti Amplifi HD - connecting directly to broadband via telephone(DSL)
-
Hi, i am a novice, so please bear over me
-
My internet provider tells me that it is possible to use your own router with broadband via telephone(DSL), provided it has the possibility to vlan tag.
Therefore i bought Ubiquiti Amplifi HD -, but it does not detect the cable and the menu under DHCP does not open up for VLAN tagging.
Can anyone tell me whether i messed up the settings or my internet provider is wrong?
Kind regards Daniel

@Airbus321 In the Web Interface, there is a setting called DHCP Client ID. This is where you will be able to input your VLAN tag from the ISP

@UI-AmpliFi I've read that the Amplifi doesn't support VLAN Tags directly from your ISP.
With the unifi gear, you can see that as follows:
Under Amplify, such a VLAN ID is missing. Are you saying that the DHCP Client ID is what Unifi regards as the VLAN ID?

Hi @carlojessurun - VLAN ID's can be enabled in the AmpliFi App under the Internet Settings
See chapter 6 of the User Guide @ https://amplifi.com/user-guide/System.html#6a
• VLAN ID Disabled by default. Enable this option to display a field that allows you to enter a VLAN ID

Thanks for pointing that out. I can't remember having such an option available a few years back when I had the machine myself. Going to try that out later today and see what happens
