AmpliFi Alien EU router is internationally compatible
-
The AmpliFi Alien and Alien Mesh kit has just been released to our European store. To purchase, please use this link to join the early access program. EU AmpliFi Store
The EU version is internationally compatible, and the country code can be selected in the settings. The only limitation you may face is that the EU version is shipped with an EU power adapter. Any other style of outlet will require an adapter (converter is built in so only generic adapter is required)

@UI-AmpliFi Does it come with the firmware you mentioned? Or will they be asked to update it on installation?
-
@Tristan-Baptist It will be the same as the AmpliFi HD routers. It will intake the country code from the mobile phone settings upon initial configuration. Afterwards, in general you can change that setting if need be. The firmware loaded on the Alien units when they ship are already compatible for this international feature.

i've waited for this moment for a looong time, it was a instant buy when i noticed the "beta" early access program for the Alien
i think my wireless network is complete after connecting this cool device!

The ui.com website doesn’t ship to australia
-
-
this Europe website doesnt ship to Australia
u cant add Australia in the section
its just European countries
one of the resellers told me :
Hi there,As an authorized Ubiquiti reseller. We are only allowed to purchase Australian stock from official Australian Ubiquiti distributors, so we cannot order it in from the EU
-Ash
Kind regards,
-
@Ahmad-Ki I have reached out to our store team to gather more information on this issue.
-
Ye we still cant order in australia
-
@UI-AmpliFi would the American version of the Alien have the ability to select European countries?
-
Aside from the power cable is there any other difference or is it just firmware.
If it is just firmware, can we change the US versions to support Australia. I currently have US versions set to Canada for use down under as this seemed to meet AU channel requirements fairly closely.
-
@UI-AmpliFi Note Australia is not Austria. We are part of Oceania not Europe.
-
one of the australian distributers told me by email
Hi
Sorry mate, not yet. Ubiquiti don't make an AU SKU for them yet but we are trying to see if they will.
-
@Ahmad-Ki Yes the SKU for AU will be available soon if it is already not. It will take some time before distributors get this.
-
can someone give us an update an ETA for australia release

@UI-AmpliFi
Update please!
I want to buy, please take my money.

@UI-AmpliFi
Why Cyprus is not included on your Europe list of country? Cyprus is part of European member. Thanks.
-
Why does the site show €289 and the webshop €319? Why the sudden increase? Is that a mistake? This is rather deceptive. Was stoked to buy one, but now I have doubts.

@James-Depoorter Thank you for noticing this.
The price you saw on the amplifi.com website was an early access price (price with discount for new products). Now that discount has ended and it will be the regular price.
Stay tuned and you might catch the same discount for AmpliFi Alien kit very soon.
