Internal DNS results are ignored

  • I have configured my router to use an internal DNS server but for some reason it doesn't seem to be using the information returned.
I can see a log of the requests being made from the router, and when I manually configure the DNS on a computer or make a request directly to the internal DNS it fetches everything correctly, but the router constantly returns 'No internal type for both IPv4 and IPv6 Addresses (A+AAAA) records available'.
Anyone have experience with this or know why it's behaving like that?

  • Always great when you find the solution immediately. In the web UI I had to check the box to "Bypass DNS Cache" and refresh my connection.
Not sure why it was making requests if it was using the cache, or why it was persisting after a reset, but that was the solution anyway.
