Using Bridge mode and backhaul
-
I have three HD routers and three other amplifi mesh points. I can connect the two other routers to my main amplifi HD router. I want to use bridge mode but which router is put in bridge mode and what are the settings for the other routers. I tried to put main router in bridge mode and it locked up the router. I had to restart and reset the whole system. If the main router goes in bridge mode what is the setting for the other two. What is the benefit of Ethernet back haul?

When you say that, how are you connecting the other two routers? Are you connecting them as mesh points (RAMP) or as standalone routers?
-
@Ali-Hadi They are mesh points but I mean I can hard wire them as well. They are now connected through the WIFI.

@Charles-Watts But if the other routers are connected as mesh points, then it is physically impossible for you to change the connection type on these as they are merely mirroring your main router. You will only be able to change the connection mode on your main router to 'bridge mode'. The other routers meshed into you main one would not have any settings to fiddle with or change.

So if I turn the main router to bridge mode and hard connect the other routers with no changes then I am good?
-
@Charles-Watts Yes. That's exactly what I have done.

@Charles-Watts Just make sure you connect your routers as mesh points (RAMPs) wirelessly first and then switch to wired backhaul afterwards as per this article:
