Amplifi HD as accesspoint on Instant kit

Hi I had an Amplifi HD router and access point - the bought the instant kit. The instant kit is now the main router with the access point with great effect. The issues is that as soon as I add the Amplifi HD into the mix the internet speed drops to almost nothing. Now I am sure this is a setup issue I just don't know what to check. Any ideas? Thanks

@emarkoe when you say AmpliFi HD as access point, do you actually mean as a mesh point?

@emarkoe Could it be that the devices you are testing the speed on are connected to your more distant router still? You can check which node your device is connected to on the app.
