IPv6 doesn't work
-
Hi there,
I am using the EU version of the AmpliFi Alien in the UK with my ISP Hyperoptic. My ISP does offer both native IPv4 (which is working fine) and IPv6 (which isn't working at all). Hyperoptic delegates entire /56 subnets to the router through DHCPv6-PD, which is pretty much how the majority of EU ISPs provision IPv6 for their customers. Is it possible that the Alien router doesn't support DHCPv6-PD at all or am I missing an option somewhere?

@Widoverse I noticed this too when I upgraded from AmpliFi HD to Alien.
ISP has remained the same but IPv6 doesn’t work on my UK alien set up so I’m forced to use IPv4

@Joe-Johal Well, let's hope for both of our sakes that they can provide a solution. Otherwise, I will simply return the device and go with a competitor.

@Widoverse Hi. Please contact our support and share the support file in the form.

@UI-AmpliFi Funny you suggest that. Because that is what I did first. They told me to ask here. I would prefer not to be circle-jerked around. Ticket number #277271.

I'm experiencing the same problem with Hyperoptics and the Alien in UK

@yeforriak Apparently, according to their support, only the IPv6 indicator in the UI is broken, because for whatever reason Hyperoptic is blocking access to the servers that are being used to test for IPv6 connectivity. IPv6 itself however is working.
I can confirm that this is the case for me, as all my systems do get a proper IPv6 assigned and I can connect via IPv6. You can use a test site like https://test-ipv6.com/, for example, to check if it's just the same cosmetic issue that I have or whether IPv6 actually isn't working for you.

Thanks for the information @Widoverse , yes it looks like I have proper IPv6 assigned as well \o/
Cheers!

Still doesn’t work for me and stuck on IPv4 even though my HD set up with the same ISP worked fine. It’s never worked on Alien.
