Full administration from web browser
Would be nice to be able to fully administer the AmpliFI from a web browser
Yes please. The full feature set of the APP needs to be available in a browser as well. I understand it is still under development, a road map would be nice.
Yes please. I would love to see this one happen.
Thanks and ...
Definitely has my vote.
Love the app, would also love to be able to do it via browser as well.
+1 Here as well.
I get that the mobile app makes this more "consumer friendly" but a fully functioning webserver on the AmpliFi would significantly help, especially if it comes with a feature to Backup Configuration!
You have my agreement, vote and attention.
I too would very much enjoy this feature.
Totally agree with this one! Need to step out of the "little" screen and get into the desktop environment.
This is why I'm not buying an Amplifi. I hate apps. I don't want to use phone apps for important administrative functions. This just makes the Amplifi seem more like a toy to me than a serious router. I was really disappointed when I discovered the Amplifi is totally app centric.
It's in beta but I'm guessing this is the direction they are going with web administration. Seems pretty cool so far - check it out.
I have tried controller.aplifi.com and I really hope this is not what they consider full administration. I put my vote that administration through a web browser and the router IP address is a must. The app is too slow and frankly frustrating.
I'm also really not a fan of having to sign in to a website in order to update my private home network. Just give me a web administration page that is hosted on the router itself.
I think controller.amplifi.com is a neat concept but I'd still rather have a locally hosted full administrative page. Still, it'll be interesting to see where they go with this.
Agree 100%. Either full admin from browser or a native MacOS app or both. And, make the iOS app work natively on the iPad (any iOS screen).
@sheldon-hille I am extremely disappointed. Having only just setup my Amplifi and finding a page with a 'continue' button that does nothing....
This is a must have for a Router. It seems like the Amplifi is a half finished product!! DDNS providers would be a nice feature as well as OpenVPN on the router rather than using Teleport.
We're managing dozens of people's Amplifis and doing it on a 5" screen sucks! Please support a web page for 3rd party support.
https://controller.amplifi.com is a nice thing, but not when you dont have any internet .... then its not possible to configure the router via webbrowser ..... i would prefer the web based interface also instead of an phone app.
I was extremely disappointed to find out the Amplifi lacked a proper web UI; and the minimal internet setup page presented didn't even work. Not a good first impression.
+1 for this feature, at least we should be able to put speed limits on this.
Please add this feature. Especially when working with the DHCP server and adding static Its with MAC address is a real pain in the app. Please allow access to a local web server on the amplify.
@sheldon-hille I am a reseller / network technician. I would love to sell this product to some of my small clients, but I can't because there is no real web management interface with a remote control option. For the moment it is inconceivable for me to sell this product and have to go to onsite for maintenance and / or configuration (port forwarding etc ...)
I see this as a basic requirement. I did a firmware upgrade on a unit and it made the wifi connection unreliable, and thus the app connection unreliable. Without the capability to configure the unit via a hardwired connected it can turn into a glowing doorstop in a heartbeat. I know, because I have a glowing doorstop.
