3 AmpliFi Alien in a Ethernet Backbone Config...
-
Greetings just purchased x 3 A.A wifi 6 mesh routers
Configuration
Router (Bridge Mode) --> A. Alien Router-->GigaBit Switch-->Satellite 1(another A.A) - Ethernet Backbone enabled
-->Satellite 2 (another A.A) - Ethernet Backbone enabledSatellite 1 shows 900 mbs up/down
Satellite 2 shows 90 up/ down
sometimes they can switch so Satellite 1 is 90/90 and Satellite 2 is 900/900
all running cat 5e or cat 6 cables to ethernet hardwired
any ideas why one is always slower and are there any suggestions to speed it up?
Cable Company says 1G to house, AA App says only 500 to AA router from cable provider
Cheers in advance!!

I do believe one has to be the router and perhaps enabled the satellites into bridge mode?
No way to make the satellites bridge in the the app - only the Main AA router

Hi @northern2020 - the normal process is to install one Alien as the primary in either DHCP mode or Bridge mode (doesn't matter which)
Then you install secondary standalone Alien's initially as wireless mesh points, then enable Ethernet backbone in the app and wire them up

@Derek-Saville thank you for the reply.
So I initially did this
The first one was the router in DHCP
Satellite 1 was added as a mesh
Satellite 2 was added as a meshEthernet backboned 1and 2 to the first AA router
In the app first router AA is in DHCP
Still have one mesh point as slower
