Plug In Cable Error

I have a AMPLIFI HD connected to my AMPLIFI Instant via Ethernet cable.
Everything works perfectly, however the Instant Displays " Plug in Cable " and not the time.
If i reboot , temporarily fixes it , then it reverts back to the same error
I am not connected in Bridge mode.
Tested with 3 different cables. All give exactly the same error.
Suggestions would be helpful.

@Matthew-Leeds The Ethernet cable has to be plugged into the WAN Point on the Slave Router,
LAN TO WAN PORT CONNECTION
