Mesh point not connecting
-
Hello, I bought an Amplifi HD a year ago and I bought separately a single mesh point a couple of months ago.
I had no issues with the setup of the router nor the setup of the mesh point.A couple of weeks ago the mesh point got disconnected and started blinking all the 5 LEDs, 3 times and then pause, then 3 times and pause...
I have factory reset the router and the mesh point but it still behaves in the same way.
I can't find the meaning of this LED blinking combination in any manual. Can somebody help?

You might already have testet this. I had the same issue with one of my mesh points that was bundled with the Amplifi HD kit.
I had to remove power from it back and forth and suddenly when I moved it closer to the Amplifi HD router it starts working again. It has been up and running for a month now without any issues.

Thank you for your reply.
I have tried moving in back an forth and I have tried the troubleshooting help links but nothing seems to work.
The strange thing is that none of the led status indicators that are in the documentation match mine. Here is a video to show you how it is: https://vimeo.com/530267953

Hi again @Davíð-Guðni-Halldórsson,
Many thanks for the video link. That was a strange one - it differs from mine - mine was searching for the network according to the troubleshooting guide.
This might be a long shoot. If you have two identical mesh point try to separate the antenna from each other and swap them to the each power adapter, to see if it works then (maybe you have tried that as well).
If that does not work out, I strongly suggest that you do an RMA to the support.
Informations is as is.
All the best,

Thank you again for checking this out for me.
I only have the single mesh point so I can't try that. But I did try separating the antenna of and putting it on again and still same problem.
I will contact support to do an RMA.

Hi @Davíð-Guðni-Halldórsson - there have been other reports of a triple blink boot loop issue, such as...
https://community.amplifi.com/topic/3849/amplifi-hd-firmware-v3-4-3/46If you can enter Recovery Mode then you should be able to re-flash the firmware if you obtain a download link and instruction from AmpliFi Support
If your device cannot enter Recovery Mode then it will need to be returned

Hi @Derek-Saville,
thank you for letting me know.
I have contacted AmpliFi support and I will be asking them about re-flashing the firmware.
