SSID Changed to DYNAMIC-USER-AC... but App will not allow SSID to be reset

  • sometime mid yesterday morning the SSID was lost and now the amplifi hd is sharing as DYNAMIC-USER-AC-... but when I go to the management app the SSID shows as empty (red outline) but when I set a value and hit the checkbox, it does not take my value or offer to reboot and proceed. on another amplifi hd router I have if I attempt to change the ssid and click the checkbox the next step is a popup which asks to reboot the device. that popup does not occur, and I am unable to change the ssid therefore to the original (or any) value.

    the updates area shows the device is "fully up to date" and the app is also up to date.
