AmpliFi Alien Previous Stable Firmware Versions
-
@cmdshft I have a 'dumb' question - if all my 3 Aliens are routers (not the 'mesh units") - but used in a mesh setup (main router, then 2 routers connected as mesh units via ethernet backhaul) - I assume I use the router firmware for all - not the 'mesh unit' firmware?
-
@Daniel-Osers correct; all routers get router firmware, regardless how you are using them
-
@michael-wasserman Thanks!

Hi there,
I moved from Hong Kong to US and bring the Alien that I am using in Hong Kong. Can I buy one additional Alien in US to build the Mesh connection?
-
Do you have an update planned to address log4j or is this package not used by Aplifi?
-
Hi @ubicode - user @_rc4_ had a response from support that seemed to imply to all AmpliFi products...
https://community.amplifi.com/topic/5099/are-any-amplifi-hd-products-impacted-by-log4shell/2Hopefully @UI-AmpliFi would confirm it applies to the Alien
-
Sure seemed to me that their statement was pretty clear, no Java (hence no log4j) in AmpliFi products. I'm also not aware of any logging features in the AmpliFi product line, and AmpliFi staff have consistently stated both here and on other social networks that there is no logging, although I've seen requests for it from folks in the past.
-
Hi @mleeds - I wasn’t 100% sure about the Alien since there is the option to automatically send logs at intervals back to the mothership, although I would have no idea how it is implemented
-
Hello. We are confirming that the AmpliFi product line does not use log4j anywhere.
-
@UI-AmpliFi Can you post the links for 3.6.3 as well please (not that it's GM) ?
Thanks
-
@Daniel-Osers Hi. We will make a download link available when we will make sure that the version is stable enough to allow users to roll back on their own. Right now the latest stable version is 3.6.2.
-
@UI-AmpliFi Thank you!
-
3.6.4 is out now. Would love to see the bins posted here
