AmpliFi HD Firmware v3.6.0
-
@dexx64 yes same exact issue. Even though wireless devices are showing ipv6 addresses being used and ipv6 tests from google also show its there. I get the check Ipv6 configuration message with the red cross on the solve page on the app.
-
@Abrar-Chowdhury i think the amplifi app needs a big update to solve that problem, you should report this too
so the app gets a update really fast
-
@dexx64 yeah i definitely will report it but for now it seems to have fixed itself. Other than this little bug though, this update seems to be very stable. From experience seems as stable as 3.1.2 but we'll see after a few days.
-
Anyone experience any issue or something else with the new 3.6.0 firmware ?
Do i dare to update to this new firmware version ?
-
Updated and working stable with no issues for me.
-
I am seeing some instability. The wireless connections drop off, usually noticed when streaming video and when this happens the memory use up to about 75%. Normally it sits in the 40-50% range.
I have rolled back to 3.6.0rc1, I will see how that goes.
The 3.4.4 version was stable, no issues at all.
-
@jaja-eeh Since we have similar environments I say, go for it. I did a lot of speed tests before upgrading and have noticed a slight speed increase since updating to 3.6.
-
Similar to one other user has reported the version 3.6.0 causes ethernet backhaul to my second AMPLIFI hd router configured as mesh point. I have to now roll back the firmware.
Never before I have had any issues with my setup 2 HD routers and 3 rd WiFi mesh point since 2018. Hope all they fix the firmware quickly.
-
I have 3 HD’s connected via wire but no problems at all since I upgraded last Saturday. Also did not have any issues with the prior releases.
-
@John-Meinen-0 Thanks John for let me know your experience. One point I missed in my message is that the ethernet backhaul is through actiontec moca2.0 adapters which have been working fine for me for the last 4-5 years and even now.

@John-Meinen-0 Same here, 3x HDs backhauled through a switch. Still 50/50 on whether to update!
-
11 HDs in bridge mode here, backhaul connected via switches, everything works fine, with v3.6.0 as well as the previous firmware versions for some time. I understand, bridge mode is a complete different situation than router mode, but this information might nevertheless be of some interest.
-
@Otto-Wilhelm Interesting, I'm currently in bridge mode but would perhaps try to switch back to router mode to see if it's improved since I made the change. 11 HDs I think that's a record, never seen so many in any other post!
-
I am unsure whether 11 HDs is a kind of overkill (I guess it is), but I tried to provide for 5 GHz wifi essentially all over the house and also in the garden: 2 HDs in each of 3 house levels, 2 in the cellar level and 3 in the garden.

@James-Earl-Ford After turning on IPV6 I tested it using https://test-ipv6.com and it is working correctly.

Contact Amplifi Support if the prompt to install it isn't displaying on your router.

@James-Earl-Ford My amplifi host is powered off during the upgrade process. Now I can't access the system. What can I do to solve this problem or download the firmware offline
-
@a774046435 My understanding is it has to be powered on. Why is it powered off?
