AmpliFi HD Firmware v3.6.1
UI-AmpliFi last edited by
AmpliFi firmware v3.6.1 for AmpliFi HD, Instant and Teleport hardware has been released.
- Security updates (additional FragAttacks fix, new OpenSSL version)
- Improved stability
- Band steering improvements
- Other minor fixes
We use a gradual rollout and it may take up to a week for the devices to receive this update.
Anyone noticed any slow down on Wifi or Ethernet-cable ?
I just don't dare to update yet.

Updated yesterday and no problem so far, seems stable. We are three people working from home.
We have ca 20 devices, wired and wireless.
All the best,
AmpliFi HD with two mesh points
Been running the new FW update since it was released yesterday. No issues with upgrade. My setup is 4x RAMPs connected via ethernet backhaul servicing about 55 clients (25% wired and 75% wireless). No issues so far since the upgrade.
Just wait 1 week and then you'll see...

This update has fixed the issue that was introduced in 3.6.0 for me, with the app reporting problems with IPv6 on BT Broadband PPoE. Thanks.

Can someone elaborate what "Added hardware acceleration feature (available in web portal)" is?
@Eric35 - It has been over a week and no issues so far. I just added 3 more IoT devices to my network as well. Would you be able to provide more details on what I am supposed to see after a week?
@Robert-Kwan Issue with wifi-drop on 2.4Ghz, no stabile wifi, but it works excellent on ethernet and 5ghz, so there you have it
@Eric35 - Can't say I have seen any issues with 2.4Ghz, 5Ghz, and ethernet. I have many IoT devices on my network that only use 2.4Ghz with no issues...
@Robert-Kwan well good for you but this issue is an old issue and not affecting only me but alot of other users as well

@UI-AmpliFi Updated yesterday, so far no issues and everything stable. We've a mix of ethernet and WiFi devices, mostly iOS, but some other stuff as well. Update did seem to take a little longer than usual.

It has been over 9 days so far and everything is stable. Some of the recent updates have been unstable during multiple video streams (memory use goes high to over 70% before crashing), but this one is solid. We have four Ethernet devices, 3x video streams and multiple cameras, smart devices and phones. Everything functioning well and speed is maintained at all times. All this on just one stand alone unit. Great work team

@UI-AmpliFi been having issues since this update.
Really slow speeds and need to switch to carrier network on some devices.
Not an ISP issue as I’ve checked in the neighborhood and thru wired connection.
Any new update coming soon or should I just revert to previous version ?

What are your current wireless radio settings? Are you on 20 width on the 2.4 and 80 width on the 5? I stopped using 80, better to be on 40 in my opinion. You may also want to check your channel settings. After an update, my router choose a not-so-good frequency that was overlapping my neighbors. If you have an android device, use WiFi analyzer and see if you are broadcasting or sitting on another device's frequency. I have now taken off automatic and set all my client's Amplifi routers to manual.
My two cents. Good luck.
How can i go back to the previous firmware version?
I would like 3.4.2 please .?
The speed does not reach 20Mbit/s and i have 100Mbit/s and this has not happend ever since i updated to this latest firmware
