Mesh Point Slow Connection But Host Is Faster
-
I have a QNAP on my network and I'm trying to figure out why speeds are so slow via wifi.
When I connect to the host Alien router, via 5ghz wifi 6, I get speeds between 300-400mbps and when connected via hardline, I saturate the 1gbe connection. QNAP set up for OpenSpeedTest server to test LAN throughput.
When I connect to a the mesh point, via 5ghz wifi 6, I get speeds around ~200mbps. QNAP set up for OpenSpeedTest server to test LAN throughput.
If I connect a hardline to the mesh point, I get speeds around the same 200mbps. QNAP set up for OpenSpeedTest server to test LAN throughput.
If I do a speedtest.net test, I get over 400mbps.
Backhaul is wifi 6 5ghz and backhaul speed test provides ~1,4000mbps.
Routers are on the latest 3.6.2 firmware
I can't seem to get anywhere near the 1,400mbps speeds even when connect via a hard line to the mesh point. I get faster speeds doing WAN speed test than a LAN speed test.
