Alien Router Main Floor - Add Second Router?

Hello,
I’m looking at buying a second Alien unit for my home. Currently our internet connection upstairs is horrible. I’m just curious about wiring everything together. I have a modem and switch setup in the basement and that feeds my entire home. My first router is on my main floor and I’m looking to install a second router in my office on the second floor. I have Ethernet ports throughout my home that are fed from the switch. Will I be able to set my second unit as a mesh point? I don’t want it to be a separate system. I want it to switch seamlessly. Sorry for the long winded question and I hope this makes sense. I’ve searched for info on wired back haul but didn’t see anything with my scenario. Thanks in advance!!
