Firmware 2.6.1
-
Just downloaded the firmware update and seems to have fixed the issue with lag I was experiencing.
-
But 2.6.1 is out?
I can not see update.....
-
Yes its out. It showed up on my Mesh router and iOS app.
-
Showed up on my router screen.
-
It is indeed out. Just remotely upgraded (GO AMPLIFI!). Both Router and Mesh Node are at 2.6.1. Everything seems to be just fine.
-
I only can see 2.6.1 RC1 beta versión
-
Huh, I was running on 2.6.0 for the last several days and had the "Hardware NAT" option turned on but just noticed since I upgraded to 2.6.1, the "Hardware NAT" option was turned off. No problem, I just turned it back on. Anyone else notice this?
-
@david-miller - Yes, I did notice this and had to turn it back on both units. (using an ethernet backhaul).
In any case, the router seems to 'disappear' altogether and has forced me to power off and power back on several times to get the connection back.
It's odd. I'd rather not have to factory reset, but it's looking like that is what it will take.
-
Is there an actual change log? Also where is the guide on when and why to turn on the various options in the WebGUI. I have 200/10 internet, does Hardware NAT help? Why was "R" removed? Please communicate better.
-
@jose-lopez Try using the application to check for updates manually.
If you still do not see the update you can power cycle the router and it should display.

I have noticed the "channel stacking" is pretty odd. I have 2 routers (bridged) and 2 mesh antennas.
The 2.4GHz are all spread out now (in 2.6.0 they were all on the same channel or 3 on 1, 1 on another) but 5 GHz has 1 on 36 and 3 on 153. When I do channel scans I can see that there not that many other 5GHz devices out there.
-
@john-fruehe Router and its Wi-Fi meshpoints are normally on the same channel. This is because we have single 5 GHz radio. Ethernet-connected meshpoint selects channel on its own.
-
@dmitrijs-ivanovs should they all be at 80MHz?
-
Problems with firmware 2.6.1 and Torrents.
Trying to download some torrents, the whole mesh network become unresponsive. If I stop the torrent everything back to normal. Also see this reported in 2.6.1rc1 but in the final version is not resolved. Please review this for the next firmaware release.
Thanks!
-
@john-fruehe By default, they are at 80 MHz.
-
@juan-moncayo For now, just limit Bittorrent speed to ~1.5 MB/s. There must be an option in your Bittorrent software. There is a known problem in router firmware which spoils Bittorrent performance in some situations. Should be addressed soon in subsequent firmware updates.
