I currently have google Wifi, numerous apple devices, HomePod, and an Ecobee. In order for my Ecobee to utilize home kit it and my apple TV need to be on the same 2.4gHz frequencies. Is there a way to make sure my apple TV stays on 2.4gHz. On google wifi it seems to be a free for all.

@steve-wieska You could turn off "band steering". In that case, the router creates a separate SSID for each band. You could then force the connection there.

Is that so? Isn't it that you select the option for 'separate wifi SSIDs' which creates the separate SSIDs? Band steering of for trying to nudge the client to the 5Ghz channel?

@steve-wieska Hi Steve! You can create custom, single band SSIDs on specific mesh nodes. This will ensure that both devices are using the same band and always connect to the node that's closest to them.
