Is Ubiquiti's Outdoor UAP-AC-M Compatible?

I'm looking into refreshing my home network and Amplifi seems like a good option. I need to expand coverage outdoors to provide access for my garage though. Ubiquiti makes a highly rated outdoor access point in the UAP-AC-M but it isn't clear if it will play nice with the Amplifi system. Reviews suggest the UAP-AC-M can work with any configurable router.

@nathan-peters hi Nathan! It will work if the uplink is wired. Wireless uplink on UAP-AC-M works only with UniFi access points on the same controller.

But how well/quickly will roaming /zero-handoff work?
